OUR LEATHER
Full-grain cowhide is the highest grade of leather available. It retains its natural grain, its strength and its character. It does not split, peel or deteriorate. It softens with use, developing a patina that makes each piece uniquely yours over time.
A wallet built from full-grain leather is a wallet built to last decades. And a product that lasts decades is a product that doesn’t end up in landfill.
Our leather is ethically sourced full-grain cowhide with a lychee grain finish - a by-product of the food industry, not raised for leather production.
WHY LEATHER OVER SYNTHETIC
Synthetic leather alternatives - including vegan and PU leather - are most commonly made from polyurethane, a petroleum-derived plastic. These materials don’t biodegrade.
They crack, peel and deteriorate within years, contributing directly to microplastic pollution and landfill waste.
Full-grain leather, cared for properly, outlasts synthetic alternatives many times over. A Pairre wallet used across years of travel carries a far smaller environmental footprint than a synthetic wallet replaced every two to three years.
It is an honest choice for a product built to last.
OUR LINING - rPET
Every Pairre wallet is lined with rPET - fabric made from recycled plastic bottles.
The ocean matters to us. Not as a talking point but as a personal value that shaped this decision from day one. rPET diverts plastic from landfill and waterways, reducing what enters our oceans and marine ecosystems.
Durable, smooth and long lasting - it was chosen because it is the right material and because it aligns with what we believe.
